This lighthearted and (in my opinion) underappreciated story is a real change of pace for Ash, who spends most of his time being dragged into big, weighty plots.Story Data

Significant Cameos and References
- One of the children is wearing a Hercules costume; Disney's "Hercules" animated movie was released in 1997.
Trivia
- Pete's dash to the front of the room after he hears Joe's scream is carefully choreographed: that way, Pete is in front of the entrance door, and can corral kids to run toward the exit instead of potentially splitting up and spoiling the scene.
- Ash mentions in his exchange with Pete that "it's not like the fire-breathing schtick comes naturally." His species of dragon doesn't breathe fire; he's actually casting a magic flame jet to simulate the effect.
- The haunted house sends groups through in 10-minute waves because the organizers wanted to give participants a chance to briefly meet all the actors at the end, and the only way to let participants leave their posts for that was to carefully control access. With theris featuring prominently in many of the house's frights, they felt it was important to emphasize that the things that kids saw were fake, and give them a chance to get questions answered.
