I offered the contest behind this story on a lark, and
was initially worried about whether I'd be able to make
anything of the results. "The Pet Lady" earned a
BaMoTTuSto Reader's Choice award, though, so I must
have done something right.

Baxil wrote this story based on the results of a contest in which elements were submitted by readers, Mad Libs-style, and five were chosen randomly. Within a day, this sprang out of "generic brand dog food, transcendence, and an instructor while the power suddenly goes out in the Bronx." (1)
